A friend had given it to me so I felt honour bound to read it but wasn’t at all sure it would be enjoyable. However, I was surprised when a few pages in I became hooked and felt a huge urge to get knitting. You have been warned.

Dr Sabrina Cohen-Hatton is an extraordinary women. Homeless as a teenager she sold copies of the Big Issue to keep herself in school, studying in alleyways at night and dodging unwelcome attentions and abuse of all sorts. She is now a Chief Officer in the Fire Brigade. In addition, she has written a very readable book about challenging doing it by the book in life and death situations.
