- Queenie by Candice Carty-Williams
- Dominicana by Angie Cruz
- Actress by Anne Enright
- Girl, Woman, Other by Bernardine Evaristo

- A Thousand Ships by Natalie Haynes

The shortlist of 6 will be announced on April 22nd (an auspicious day as I am running RenewYou then in my new studio!) with the final result on Wednesday 3rd June.
I have to admit that I haven’t read any of them yet (facepalms) but if you have please do share your thoughts.
