Avivah giving a TedX talk
Did you know that Facebook now has 52 genders listed? No, me neither. The world is changing and forward thinking organisations know they have to change. Even the less forward thinking companies are beginning to get the message: business is better when it’s inclusive and employs the talents of everyone.
I have been a long time admirer of the work of Avivah Wittenberg-Cox and interviewed her on this blog (see here for the interview with Avivah. Note to self, time for an update with Avivah). She is the CEO of 20first.com and author of several excellent books explaining to businesses just how they become truly gender bi lingual and create an organisation playing to the strengths of all its employees. It’s not about changing the women but changing the environment. Business needs to adapt.
Let Avivah explain in this video. It’s less than 2 minutes long and well worth a listen.

I am busy putting together some material for a book on this very topic, aimed at individuals, and sharing some of the researched differences in styles of communications between genders. If you have any stories to share please feel free to get in touch, I’d love to hear from you. If you’re a subscriber simply click Reply to the email, or if not, details are here.
