Aretha Franklin – if this is ‘old woman’ bring it on!

Aretha Franklin via newobserver.com

I’ve written many times about the discrimination older women face in all professions. It’s particularly apparent in the media world. Femageism is rife.

Well, here’s one exception to prove the rule. It’s an amazing video of Aretha Franklin singing a tribute at Carole King’s induction into the Hall of Fame. It is stupendous. Here is a 74 year old woman, truly comfortable in her own skin, bringing the house down. Be warned, you will cry, but you will also be inspired. It’s wonderful. Simply click on Aretha’s picture to get taken to the video.
