When the Sun Shines Ignore the Dust

It’s been a bleak old winter, hasn’t it? Some of us are fortunate enough to be enjoying a sprinkle of sun of late.

The new  Spring light is great, the warmth of the sun filtering weakly through  wintery, unwashed windows is beautiful too. For a second the world looks different, full of possibility.

I have a beautiful prism hanging in my window and this morning it was bouncing coloured light around the room: magical. It’s been some time since we’ve seen it so bright.

But then I caught myself focusing on what else was showing up. The downside to a wood burning stove is the dust and for a moment my eyes just focused on dust.

And then I thought

The dust will be there tomorrow. The sun may not….
