A Quick Mood Lifter!

If you’re feeling a bit down you’ll probably find yourself taking longer than usual to do things. When there’s no spark the energy levels flag. But trying to quicken your pace might be a good antidote to the blues!

Speed up!

There is some evidence from research conducted at Princeton University, that encouraging people to speed up left them feeling happier and more energetic. People were encouraged to do things faster by being given timed tasks to do, or asked to read quickly from a book, or from fast scrolling text on screen. The effect was a distinct shift to a more positive mood. Try it next time you feel a bit low.
