Dame Rebecca West (nee Cicely Isobel Andrews) was an English journalist, novelist and critic. Kenneth tynan described her as “the best journalist alive”, and in her youth she was prominent in the women’s movement.

Yes. I am a feminist.
Yes, I’m a feminist. I don’t think I have the room here to give my full definition, but the most important points include that feminism gives women choices and self-determination as well as all other basic human rights.
Thanks Marie. I think feminism is about valuing both genders equally and not having one gender being viewed as superior. Basically we still live in a man’s world and I don’t want to have to be like a man to be thought good! And don’t get me started on places where the most basic of human rights are violated for women. It debases all of us. Thanks for all your comments on the blog!
